2023 Wagoneer L vs 2023 GMC Yukon XL!
The 2023 Wagoneer L versus the 2023 GMC Yukon XL.

What if we could combine ultimate comfort levels with outstanding off-road skills, or decadent luxury with weekly family outings… wouldn’t that be fabulous? Thankfully, there already exists a vehicle that is specially built for this and, on top of it, promises a phenomenal 10,000 pound maximum towing capacity. Here is the 2023 Wagoneer L, a full-size SUV for sale at Thibault Chrysler Amos, which we will compare here to the 2023 GMC Yukon XL.

With a body that is longer by 12- inches, the all-new 2023 Wagoneer L also enjoys a wheelbase that is 7- inches longer as well. This translates into a very generous interior space for passengers and their luggage alike. Here are the differences between the Wagoneer and the Wagoneer L below:

Powertrains

It comes as no surprise that these robust beasts require sufficient power. So, here is what you will find under the 2023 Wagoneer L and 2023 Yukon XL hoods:

This Wagoneer truck powertrain is more powerful than the one on the 2023 Yukon XL, and allows you to tow up to 10,000 pounds (4,536 kg), compared to the Yukon that can only tow up to 8,300 pounds (3,765 kg), with the towing package. The Wagoneer is indeed one of the only of its category to offer such a high towing capacity, allowing you to tow your trailer or you 4x4 in the most remote and wild regions of the Waskaganish and Wemindji area.

Another skill that other utilities from the same category lack, including the Yukon, is the capacity to drive over bumpy and rough road surfaces without a glitch, like the ones found in the Nemaska or Waswanipi regions. Contrary to them, the Wagoneer succeeds with outstanding ease thanks to –amongst other things- its incredible genetics that make it an exceptional off-road vehicle because of features such as:

  • The Quadra-Trac I and II systems;
  • The Selec-Terrain Traction Management System;
  • The Quadra-Lift pneumatic suspension;
  • The rear auto-locking differential.

If off-road skills are not what you are after, you should know that when it comes to winter driving, the Wagoneer can handle snowy and icy roads around Eastmain or Nemiskau with outstanding ease, which will, in turn, provide you with great peace of mind. Simply said, nothing intimidates a Wagoneer, no matter how refined and luxurious it is, like is the case with the Wagoneer L.

Without taking anything away from the GMC Yukon XL and, despite the great luxury levels it offers that are not in question here, just ask yourself if it will be able to navigate difficult weather conditions and road surfaces like the ones found around Chisasibi (Fort George) or Mistissini. We are convinced that you will reach the same conclusions as we have. So, come and see everything that this superb SUV offers for yourself, in person, at your Chrysler dealership.
